"Their Guardian from Hell" - A complete Western Novelette by Norbert Davis

Today's post comes to you by special request of Mr. Ed Gorman, a Norbert Davis fan of the first water. Davis wrote many dozens of stories for the pulps between 1932 and 1943, then moved into the slick magazines. The great majority of his tales were mysteries, but he also wrote a fair number of western and adventure stories. He's best known today for his three wacky mystery novels featuring Doan (the detective) & Carstairs (the Great Dane). I reviewed The Mouse in the Mountain, the first Doan & Carstairs novel, last month, and posted "Never Say Die", a short story from Detective Fiction Weekly

"Their Guardian from Hell" is from the March 1937 issue of Star Western.

For seven more great Norbert Davis westerns, you'll want to check out the collection Dead Man's Brand from Black Dog Books. It's available HERE.

Wow, that's great.

By the way, if I send you the 50 cents, will you send back one of those rings (last page, bottom)?

Please send that fifty cents to the editor of Star Western, Richard, and tell him Davy sent you.
