Operator 5 and The Spider Return!
Here's the scoop . . .
Moonstone Books, as part of their "Return of the Originals" initiative, will debut a comic book in January featuring two of my favorite pulp heroes.
Operator 5 will be written by Gary Phillips, with pencils and inks by Roberto Castro. The Spider will be penned by Martin Powell and drawn by Pablo Marcos. I'm really looking forward to this one. The first issue blasts out of the past in January.
Thanks to Gary Phillips for the tip (and this fine cover mock-up by Dan Brereton). I encourage you to pay Gary a visit right HERE.

Yes!!! Right now i'm chained. If i jump out of joy one more time only, the roof will fall apart ^^
A very, vdery coll cover. Love the red moon with a shadowy skull in it, the women, and, of course, The Master of Men himself.
I only can hope this came to Spain in some way. But hope also the fans west of the Great Puddlle enjoy it ;)
Since neither the Sipder not Op 5 are vampires, I see the cover is just a plain old gratuitous vampire-to- boost-sales thing. Bah.
One of these days I'm gonna write a Spider story.
And though the SPider is no vampire, he does use a mouthpiece when he's disguised so maybe it's supposed to evoke that.
Charles is right, Rick. Those teeth are falsies.
Teeth schmeeth. What's wrong with you guys? Look at that ass! Yumma mama!

Hi Eagle Eyes. Good to hear from you.
Charles, if you do, tell us! I want to do one too, but to be honest, i' do not believe myself to be able to do it.
I mean... The Spider is far more complex what i thought the first time. And this is good, of course, but also make harder to write about him
