Overlooked TV: CONAN THE ADVENTURER in "The Heart of the Elephant"

Here's the two-part premier of the 1997-98 TV series cobbled together from various (and mostly non-Howardian) incarnations of Conan. This one features a special guest appearance by Mickey Rooney, and a beyond-the-grave appearance by Richard Burton as "the Image of Crom." Roy Thomas is listed as one of several Co-Producers. Hm.

I lasted about five minutes. The most interesting character was the midget, who appeared a few times on SEINFELD.

This TV show can never be overlooked enough for me.

I tried watching it when it came out. I didn't mind Moeller? that much, but the rest of the cast was awful I thought.

Yeah, I usually gave all the syndicated hours a shot in those years, but even with some cute women in the guest casts, I don't recall ever getting through an episode of this one or the revived TARZAN of similar vintage.

This series was very cheesy! Not realistic.....characters are too clean, teeth too straight and white for the era.
