The Western Art of FRED HARMAN

"Riding High"

Here are three more examples of the exceedingly fine Western art of "Red Ryder" artist Fred Harman. These are postcards I picked up at his museum in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. I also brought home a big print of the painting above.

"The Roundup"

"She Didn't Wait"

Nice, very nice. Is that top one - and the others, I guess - done in oil, watercolor, gauche, or?

The third one looks like Kansas with all the buildings leaning to one side from the wind. Great art.

I believe Harman worked in both oil and watercolor. The bottom two look like oils to me. Not sure about "Riding High."
