I really need to go back to this museum.

In 1979, as an officer candidate and then later as a second lieutenant at Quantico, I think I must have visited this place a half dozen times - along with the battlefield at Manassas.

Seems it was not considered cool for my male comrades to ask a female candidate/officer on a date. It just wasn't done, for some reason. HOWEVER, it was totally ok to mention casually "I'm going to the Air and Space Museum/battlefield on Sunday, want to come along?"

I went to Bull Run so many times I had the recordings at the various stations memorized.
