Weird Stuff I Saw in Italy, 5: Animal Warfare

These two undated pieces by Peter Wenzel ( 1745-1829) are hanging in the Pinacotera (painting gallery) of the Vatican Museum. What they're doing there, I don't know, but they reminded me of Wild Kingdom.
