This stirring tale comes to us from John Wayne Adventure Comics #3, Jan. 1950. The story is signed "Al Williamson," but most online sources believe Frank Frazetta helped out with the inks. A few panels do look a little Frazettaish. Thanks to movielover for sticking it up on ComicBookPlus.

Al Williamson, Angelo Torres & the Cheyenne Kid fight THE BATTLE OF THE LITTLE BIGHORN (Part 3)
Here's the thrilling finale to our three-part extravaganza from Cheyenne Kid #10 (1957). Mike Britt, who supplied these swell silver proofs, tells me that Williamson and Torres were pretty stoked about the first panel on the second-to-last page, There you'll see a trooper with an arrow that might be going through his head - and they somehow managed to slip it by the censors.

Al Williamson, Angelo Torres & the Cheyenne Kid get closer to CUSTER'S LAST STAND (Part 2)
Here's the deal: Sometime in the ancient past, Steve Ditko (who did the cover for Cheyenne Kid #10, 1957) gifted these silver proofs to Mr. Mike Britt, collector extraordinaire. Mike courageously let them out of his mitts long enough for me to scan them, and here they are - for all the digital world to see. A round of applause for Mr. B, please! Part 1, if you missed it, is HERE.

Forgotten Stories: "Sherry Strikes a New Note" by RAOUL WHITFIELD (1943)
Okay, I knew that Black Mask great Raoul Whitfield also wrote aviation fiction, and juvenile adventure novels, but I never expected to find him in a comic book like Calling All Girls. But here he is, in the September 1943 issue, as provided to comicbookplus by movielover.
